I STILL BELIEVE

Do you believe the night will end? That another morning will come?

It’s been one long night now,

But not after one long day,

And not without another morning to come,

I still believe.

Somewhere deep down though I think,

There’s something within me quite not ready,

To feel the rays of the morning sun,

First rays, though billion years old.

'Til a new morning arise,

Set by an eternity old object,

By its eternity old light,

Never beginning and never ending,

That yet we believe to be,

New every dawn.

Temptation

Roaming the streets like an ordinary man

But he, he knows what’s overridden his life

Temptation, why is that so tempting?

Temptation, that led him to sin.

Pondering his mind, weighing his will

Yet temptation, it’s taking him far away

His spunk! His spurious self

Whispering sotto voice to his soul

To souse himself in perennial sin.

And when he’s done, lost to temptation

He’s stultified, back to dull life

In quest of fortitude now

Temptation, why is that so tempting?

Temptation, that led him to sin.
