About Me

Hey there! I am Delilah. I mean, that’s what most people know me as! It's just a pseudonym, though so let’s just stick to Del! I am a 17 year old high school goer and I like to sit in front of my computer and stare at a blank screen until I come up with the right words. I love poetry (shocker)! I also love writing stories about people I have never met—or animals or ghosts or witches, for that matter.

I used to write poetry for my school magazine but I have been to many schools since then so I started to focus on this little blog of mine. I still don't know what "Poet Birds" is supposed to mean—but oh well. I really enjoy writing poetry and over time hope to get better at it. Poetry to me is not just an emotional outlet but also a means to knock people hard in the head and to make them see through a brand new pair of glasses.

I believe in the power of words and I hope you will accompany me on this journey to find the right words to paint the right message.
